Inspiration - Ghost Subway Station

The Daily Mail recently featured an article on NYC's City Hall Station. The subway station is the terminus of the 6 train and was originally built in 1904. It is no longer in use.

The pictures are breathtaking. Go to the site to check them out.

My PNR is set in NYC and I'm seriously considering writing a scene taking place in this station. The tiles, the stained glass, it's all beautiful.

The architect was Rafael Guastavino. He was a vaulting pioneer and also designed the central foyer for the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on the Upper West Side and other NYC landmarks.
