The Romance Writers of America annual conference is in full swing and people are live-tweeting many of the workshops. Courtney Milan, one of my favorite presenters, did a seminar on how to survive as a slow writer, and the tweets are pretty helpful. Apparently, a 'slow writer' is anyone who is not able to publish a book every 90 days.

Yes, people, nine-oh, nine-zero, noventa.

Clearly, I'm a slow writer and I should pay attention to Courtney's advice.

Joanna Penn followed the Guardian's Literary Conference and tweeted lots of great market and discoverability data. There's infographics! Yeay! Hard data is the Yeti of publishing, every one tells you it's there but no one can find it, so these tweets are really exciting.

I seriously considered writing to the market, but, ultimately, decided against it. I'm so glad I did. I love my book. I think it's a lot fun. And that's a good thing because, between revisions and editing, I've already had to reread it a gazillion times. If it actually gets published, I'll have to read it another gazillion times.
