Oh Em Gee. The bodega cats have their own wildlife-documentary-style YouTube videos ("The ultimate urban predator...the bodega cat"). This is fantastic. I'm currently plotting a Manhattan Witches mystery series and I'm definitely adding a magical bodega cat. I need a good name for it, though. Chango? Tiamat? Azufre? Any ideas?
How to weave story elements and avoid info dumps. This is a very timely article for me. As the Banshee Creek series grows, I find myself with a lot more background information to impart to readers.
