A dating service for the recently deceased. This would make for a great paranormal romance.
Emily Henderson turns an awkward space into a cozy reading nook. I love the chair, but I'm not so sure about the dark blue color.
The folks behind the Lizzie Bennett Diaries bring you Emma Approved. I approve! Emma is my favorite Jane Austen book.
Making cider from wild apples.
A video of David Gandy playing with puppies. Aaaaw.

Romance novels, the last bastion of underground fiction.
Kristan Higgings talks about log lines.
Emily Henderson remodeled a house for Hurrican Sandy victims. She picks projects that help people and I love her for that. Here's the living room makeover (I don't think that hammock will remain there for long), here's the dining room (I love the blue chairs, so cool), here's the bathroom (the blue and white tile is amazing), and here's the kitchen (I love the "industrial beachy style), and, finally, my favorite room, the (I kid you not) sharknado-themed bedroom. This is my new dream beach house.
I'm listening to Priyanka Chopra's "In My City" single. It's really catchy.

Cal Newport debunks the "write every day" canard.
The perfect Parisian white paint. It's a beautiful, creamy white and very, very attractive.
Molecule House in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The atomic-style trellises are amazing.
A Sarah Richardson cottage in Price Edward Island (Anne of Green Gables country!).
Accessorizing your bookshelves by Better Homes and Gardens. My bookshelves are full of books and I have no room for cute accessories, but I still drool over these pictures.
Blue and gold master bedroom by Emily Henderson. I looooove those lamps. Unfortunately, they're flea market finds and not available for sale. I also like how she styled one of the nightstands with a Shel Silverstein book. I love Shel Silverstein!

Link Fiesta - Black Moment
“ Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words “I have a cunning plan” marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?” Edmund Blackadder
I have a cunning plan.
Act 2 revisions are done and I'm off to fix my Black Moment. It's kind of a Grayish-Taupish Moment right now so it needs a lot of work. Luckily, I have a plan. My hero is through being sweet and is bent on being his controlling, dominating self. My heroine is under considerable emotional stress and is not in the mood to deal with the hero's BS.
This should be good.
The Black Moment is the heart of the romance novel and I really, really want to nail mine. Here are some helpful links I found.
Historical Romance author Anna Campbell writes about crafting the Black Moment.
Katie Lovette has some advice.
Kat Cantrell's blog post defines the Black Moment as the hero's and heroine's greatest need in conflict with one another. Great post.
Nalini Singh thinks you should be mean to your characters.
Wish me luck!
Procrastination Item: Emily Henderson had a contest on styling nightstands. She had some really cool entries. It's amazing how pretty books can look when properly staged. My nightstand right now has a pile of decor magazines, two paperback romance novels, a lamp, a phone charger (I read e-books on Kindle for iPhone), and a clock. It is the antithesis of style. I should probably try harder.
