Hot Topic has a Pride Prejudice and Zombies lingerie collection. I gotta say, that zombie toile is kind of cool (I'd love it as a wallpaper) and I'm kind of digging that last negligee.
Another Emily Henderson home office. I love this. It's so peaceful and calming...and so unlike my own workspace. :)
How to use brand names in your fiction. Great post with very helpful tips.
SciFi author Elliott Kay talks about book numbers.
Kameron Hurley has advice for writers. Chuck Wendig does too. I'm seeing a lot of "advice to new authors" posts suddenly. We had a bunch in 2012 and it kind of went way in 2013-15. Now they're back. Are we getting a new batch of new authors or just senior authors with more wisdom to impart?

Emily Henderson fixes up a to-die-for home office. I love the gallery wall. She also did this beautiful bedroom for the same client. Those lamps are gorgeous (and almost $400 each, ouch). I love Emily. How can you not love someone who gives you cat-friendly design tips?
A great revisions checklist by Jenny Crusie. I'm printing it out and putting it on my wall.
Rachel Aaron on how to write a great blurb. Argh, blurbing is the worst. The absolute worst.
Lindsay Buroker on publishing and marketing a multi-author bundle.

Rachel Aaron defends the use of familiar tropes.
Ridiculously pretty desk with 3M organizational tools by Emily Henderson.
How J.K. Rowling used spreadsheets to plot her Harry Potter books. Very cool
Smart Bitches reviews orca-shifter erotica with a time-traveling penis. They also review the second book (sea snake and orca sexytimes). Both reviews are very funny.
Geek Girl in Love posted an interview with Diana Gabaldon with some interesting thoughts about cross-gender works and story structure (triangles! dumbbells!!). I'm really excited about the Outlander TV series. It's great.

Fabulous Beverley Kendall survey on self-publishing. Math! Pie charts! (And here's her blog post on the survey and a follow-up post on the results. Jami Gold has another great post on the survey)
Insanely great Jennifer Crusie post on community and storytelling. I heart this post so much.
Hugh Howey on what Chris Hemsworth's abs can teach you about your writing career. Hmmmm. I think I'm starting to figure out how Howey got into the bestseller lists.
A gorgeous home office designed by Sarah Richardson. I love where she put the printer!

Great home office design (with a separate homework area for the kids - Genius!)
I adore this octopus wallpaper. Adore.
Maya Banks tells you everything you wanted to know about e-publishing but were afraid to ask. Great interview from 2001.
The making of the Nerf zombie blaster. I saw these at the store the other day. They look so cool! I bet my kids put them in their Santa lists.

A home office for mad scientists. This is fabulous! I love the cat transit system.
A House Hunters behind the scenes post.
Jim Hines on writing for the market.
SyFy's Ghost Hunter's gear guide. Yep, I'm doing research.

Emily Henderson's home office tips.
Rachel Aaron on whether writers need to blog. The takeaway is "focus on writing your book."
Jennifer Crusie dissects the first meeting between Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Jenny's blog is full of useful writing advice, most of it illustrated with popular culture examples (she's doing Moffat's Sherlock Holmes right now). Worth checking out.
Courtney Milan discusses the historical romance print market. It ain't pretty folks. But all is not lost. Read her post on digital strategy to find out which publishers are being successful. The answer surprised me.

Thinking of doing an idea/inspiration board? Here's a great Ikea hack for a fabric-covered bulletin board.
Emily Henderson turns a sex dungeon into a home office. I kid you not.
Catherine Ryan Howard on setting goals and working toward achieving them. Great post!
The CS Lankin "genre v. platform" experiment as discussed in Kindleboards. Lots of food for thought there. Myself, I follow the "write what you love" path, but the "pick an underserved niche and write the hell out of it" strategy seems to be quite effective. It also worked for the dinosaur-porn writers.
